Classical Academic Press (CAP) is a K–12 educational publishing, media, and consulting company for schools and homeschools. The company has developed and grown through 20 years of brainstorming, conversation, innovation, review, and revision. FULL-TIME SALES AND MARKETING ASSISTANT

We are looking for the next great person to join the CAP Team! The Sales and Marketing Assistant position at Classical Academic Press will require strong customer service, communication, creativity, organizational and administrative skills.

This new team member should be able to sell products, see an assignment through in an organized manner, and communicate well when responding to customer inquiries. The Sales and Marketing Assistant will be responsible for gaining knowledge of all products produced by the company and providing product information and services to customers, assisting in office operations, and supplying administrative support in sales and marketing. This person will also be assisting in organizing annual conventions and supporting logistics. The Sales and Marketing Assistant will be able to effectively prioritize incoming communication requests from internal and external sources, establish their priority, recommend courses of action, and follow through to resolution. Proficiency in processing orders, creating reports, and mailing invoices is required, as well as identifying opportunities for innovation in the company brand. The candidate should have experience and capacity in working with computers and computer-based business applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, web-based e-mail, and cloud-based software. The ability to competently conduct online research is also required skill.

A strong candidate for this position would have some noteworthy experience providing support and leadership for similar organizations, and should have a track record of success, verified by references. A bachelor’s degree and experience working in a similar organization or field is preferred.

Classical Academic Press was founded in 2001 by Dr. Christopher Perrin, along with three other teachers who were serving with him, while he was head of school at a classical school in Harrisburg, PA. Christopher is an author, consultant, and national speaker on classical education, and serves as the publisher and CEO of Classical Academic Press. He seeks to cultivate curiosity, wonder, and a lifelong love of learning in students and educators. He is also a passionate advocate for the recovery of scholé, a restful approach to teaching and learning that is part of the classical tradition of education.
