Jason Ulbrich
Charter school consultant Jason Ulbrich possesses a wealth of knowledge that can aid charter schools in professional development, organizational leadership, strategic planning, and implementing strong classical principles.
Jason has worked in charter schools since 2005 as an education coordinator and principal, and since 2012 has been the executive director of Eagle Ridge Academy, a K–12 classical charter school in Minnesota. Eagle Ridge Academy had previously moved away from the classical ideals intended by its founders, but in 2011–2012, the board of directors and faculty rededicated themselves to the pursuit of a strong classical education pedagogy, bringing Jason on to spearhead the charge.
Since joining Eagle Ridge Academy, Jason has collaborated with and led a team of leaders both locally and nationally to define and enrich classical education. A classical cooperative was developed and classical coordinator positions were implemented at the Academy to lead the cooperative, align professional development, and develop a classical teacher certificate program.
Prior to 2005, Jason served as the director of curriculum and instruction and as an assistant principal in a traditional public school. He holds a BS in biology, general science, and earth science; an MS in organizational leadership; and an education specialist degree in educational leadership. As a former secondary science teacher, Jason still loves to get outdoors to view the beauty that nature brings.
