Is this the official CLT study guide?
Yes. The CLT Student Guide is published by Classical Academic Press in partnership with the Classic Learning Test. CAP is CLT's exclusive publishing partner for student preparation materials, and this is the only official guide endorsed by CLT.
Which assessments does it prepare students for?
The Guide supports preparation for both the CLT and the CLT10. The three included practice tests are written at CLT level and are therefore more challenging than the CLT10—which means CLT10 students will be well-prepared. The Guide is not intended for CLT3–8 preparation.
How many Guides should our school purchase?
One Guide per student who will use the resource is the recommended approach. Each student benefits from working through the practice tests and explanations individually. [Confirm this recommendation with CAP/CLT before publishing.]
